Seventeen months ago today my baby girl was born!!! I can't believe in just a month she will be a year and a half officially. Where has the time gone? She has come such a long way since the tiny 8 lb 12 ounce baby she was when she was born. She has gone from being this helpless little baby to this smart little toddler, able to pretty much tell me what it is she needs and wants. She does about 35 different signs, and says about 30 different words. She is a girly girl, loves everything having to do with babies, and loves getting dressed up in dresses. She picks out what she wants to wear for the day, and recently picked out her own pair of shoes at the store. She is independent, intelligent and very loving. She loves anything electronic, like cell phones, cameras and computers. She loves playing with other children and loves her big sister so much. She goes back and forth between being a daddy's girl and being a mommy's girl. She loves being outside, and loves swinging at the park most of all. She is growing so fast. Happy 17 months my sweet baby girl!!
Here at just a few mins old and at 17 months old...she has grown so much!!

Isn't she supposed to wear MOMMY'S shoes????
I longed for the day when my daughter, being all girly girl, would come around the corner wearing my shoes. I remember how proud I thought I would be. It would melt my heart. Little girls love to wear mommy's shoes, right? RIGHT??
Not my little girl...apparently she prefers to wear the shoes of someone else....DADDY!

Time travel tuesday ~ honey we're having a baby edition

How did you find out you were pregnant? How did you share the news with your hubby? How did you tell your family?
Well, we had been trying to get pregnant for nearly 14 months on and off, and we had finally stopped trying, because we were leaving for Europe later in the year and I had lost a ton of weight. I missed my period and when my husband found out, he told me to get a test. Well, because I had been late before and everytime I would buy a test, I would end up starting the day after, I kept putting it off. Well, one night I went and bought a pack of 2 tests and told my hubby that I would take the test in the morning (as I was certain I would start now that I bought the test) as it was recommended to do this. He kept nagging at me to go take the test, so I got upset and said "Fine...its going to be negative anyway!"...went and took the test and it immediately had 2 lines, so I walked out and said "Here is your positive test" and he was like "Are you serious???". Then he woke up his daughter and told her, and I called my best friend and told her. He then text messaged his family overseas and told them "New baby ******* due in the spring". I called my sister the next morning and told her and asked her not to tell my mom but to tell her to call me as I need to talk to her...my mom called 5 mins later from work (my sister had called her at work and told her it was important she call me ASAP) and she already figured it out cause we never bother her at work. Everyone was excited for us. Turns out that I was 6 months pregnant on our trip to Europe, so Victoria took her first overseas trip while stil growing in mommy!

Face behind the Blog
I was tagged by Deb for this meme.
Here are the rules:
1st step - Post a short blog article that includes a photograph (or a series of photos) showing the face behind your blog. If you already show a photo somewhere on your site (such as in your about page), then make your post more interesting and choose a photo that’s not currently online.
Seeing that I don't have many pics of myself on my computer (I am always the one taking the pics), here are a few of me and the girls at my friends house in front of her webcam:

2nd step - Include links to other people that have displayed a photo, or include their photos in your post, adding a reference.
Here the ones who've done this already: Deb
3rd step - Tag as many others as you like to spread the meme. Here is who I am tagging:
Shannon
Jodi
Kellie
Robyn

Fun in the tub
Victoria LOVES taking baths so much, that you can't even run the water, without her running in and jumping in the tub, clothes and all...little stinker. Her favorite thing to do in the bath, you ask? Drink water from the removable shower head.

I produced a lover of books...imagine that!
Victoria loves books. She has right from the beginning. I think they are her favorite thing. She sits and looks at books for ages, and sometimes even grabs a few and heads to the back bedroom to read them in peace. She brings us so many books everyday to read to her as well. I love that my daughter loves to read. Just like me when I was little.
