Victoria's fairy picture

So, last week at the mall I won 3 photo shoots at this place called Sadie's. They do vintage photos as well and provide the costumes and backgrounds. Victoria was in one of her "Auntie Angela moods" as daddy calls them,(if you knew Angela, you would know this is a good thing!) where she wanted to do what she wanted to do and that's that. We tried everything...she wasn't having it. She said she was sad, mad, she didn't like the way the outfits felt, she hated the sand...and so on. So, out of 25 pictures, only one turned out, so I got my free 8X10.

When Granny comes over in September, we will be taking her together for the tea party scene, in the pink dress Granny sent for her birthday! I also get to take her back one more time...thinking of trying another beach scene that time...where I will bring a bathing suit because they didn't have one available.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to me!!!

Today is my 29th birthday!!!! The last year of my 20's...my it's gone fast! It is also me and my husband's 2 year wedding anniversary!!!! That's right, I married him on my birthday, so he would only have to remember one date and if he forgets it, man is he in trouble! We are celebrating at a friends house tonight, with dinner, drinks and cupcakes of course!

New pictures!

Victoria is getting so fast so big, and I am very glad that I have been getting lots of photos of her. She is getting so tall and growing out of all her clothes at such an amazing rate. I am still trying to figure out who she looks more like. She sure is pretty, that's for sure!

With all that has been going on, I realized that I forgot to post pics of Victoria's birthday party. We don't have too many pics as we were all enjoying the party too much and kinda forgot.

No more naps :(

Victoria has decided now that she is a big girl (she just turned 2) she no longer needs naps. I was kinda happy to not give her naps anymore after this weekend because she hasn't slept thru the night in months and has fought bedtime for nearly as long and now that she isn't taking naps, she is sleeping thru the nights. I will miss my small break during the day, but I won't miss all the being up in the middle of the night. Plus, with her not taking naps now, I don't have to rush home to be here at a certain time for her nap. Which means more outings for me (us!!).

All of this just reminds me that my little girl, my little tiny baby,

is growing up so very quickly,

and I am SO NOT READY :(

Fun weekend

We had a nice weekend. I got my hair cut on Saturday...just took 3.5 inches off. I really want a different style, but not sure what yet, so in the meantime it needed a trim. I also got 3 new outfits and Andrew got 2 new outfits. We haven't bought clothes for ourselves in forever and even though we are both losing weight and just joined a gym, we needed something to get by in until then.

Sunday, we went to church and then home and relaxed a bit and then had to run to the store for the last bits of my friend Jaime's son Grant's birthday presents. It was beautiful weather out all weekend so it was nice to be out most of it! :)

My girls

They can be so cute sometimes!!!

How exciting!

I got a phone call from my Aunt Linda last night, telling me that she got a phone call from my other "unknown until now" Aunt Linda, who lives in Texas. She wanted to talk to my Uncle Drew (Aunt Linda's husband) or my mom, because it turns out that after my grandma and grandpa split in 1952, my grandpa went on to get remarried and have 5 children. My mom was raised by her mom and stepdad, and her real dad was never a part of her life. Well, now her real dad, my real grandpa, wants to meet everyone. It's a long story, because my grandma brainwashed my mom and uncle into hating their real dad and he tried to see them, but my grandma made it horrid for him, so he gave up. He is sorry now and realizes it was a mistake, but better late than never, I always say. I am very excited to meet my 78 year old grandpa for the 1st time, as well as my other 3 aunts and 2 uncles I didn't know about till now!!! That means more cousins for Victoria!! YAY! The Aunt Linda from Texas is coming to Michigan in July and I am trying to get my mom, uncle and siblings to go meet her, and my grandpa then. Maybe a dinner at a resturant where everyone feels comfortable and can leave if they want to. My mom is less thrilled with the idea, having been brainwashed against her dad all these years, but I told her everyone deserves a second chance and he does want to explain to her and her brother why he wasn't a part of their lives growing up. I am very excited, to say the least!
