Wow! This has been a crazy fall-winter season for us. After all the kids started school, we got a few weeks into a good schedule and then everyone came down sick shortly before Halloween and here we are, into the new year, and its still going on. Multiple colds followed by the flu has had our family turned upside down. The kids have missed more school than they have attended. They have seen their doctor more in the past 2 months that they have their entire lives combined. Blood tests, throat cultures, X-rays, and all has come back fine, just a "virus" that will sort itself out. We have also had referrals to ENT for Victoria and allergists for all 3 children. We have found out Victoria has severe allergies to so many things and I am hoping once she starts her immunotherapy shots this week that we will see an improvement to how often she is sick. They wanted to remove her tonsils this month, but her allergist asked that we put that off until we see if immunotherapy helps first. Henry sees the allergist this week after multiple eczema flare-ups and Adam goes next month as I am sure if his siblings have these severe allergies, he probably does as well. Adam even ended up with a trip to the Childrens Hospital, although we left shortly after arriving, as we thought he had a possible bowel obstruction and his belly was so distended. Right now, my husband is in the middle of the flu and he hasn't left the couch in a week. Its been really hard.
Lots of listening to music and reading and playing on our devices (and yes, wine drinking!)
