6 weeks...

6 weeks from today, and I will be having my c-section. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying. I am sure that is partly due to having a demanding toddler to take care of, but still, this is just going too quickly. While I am looking forward to not being pregnant anymore, I am not quite ready for this little guy to come out. I am nervous about going from one child to two children, despite being told it's easy. I am nervous about leaving Victoria for 3 days while I am in the hospital, recovering from my c-section. And I am nervous of how Victoria will react to her brother. We talk about him every day. She seems super excited. But I know that I won't really know until he is here how she will react. I am hoping all goes well, but I am nervous about it. And I am really cherishing my time with Victoria right now, knowing that in 6 short weeks, she will have to share me with another child. It kinda makes me sad that I am changing her life in such a BIG way and she has no say in it whatsoever. But I do think that giving her a full sibling, who lives with us fulltime is the best gift I can give her.

So yeah, that's me, nervous, but trying so hard to be equally as excited. I know these feelings will wash away the minute I lay eyes on my baby boy though. Here is me at 33 weeks!

30 week belly shot

I was 30 weeks on Thursday! Went to my ob and he doesn't need to see me back for another 4 weeks because everything is going so great! I am so excited about that. Not looking forward to going back every 2 weeks. Blah. Anyway, I am getting bigger. Up a total of 19 pounds! Here is a pic!

Bring on 2009!!

I am so excited that it is now 2009! This is going to be a terrific year! We have loads of fun things planned. First and foremost, we will be welcoming our little boy in March! And we get to watch Victoria become a big sister!! How exciting is that?! Then, in May, I will be celebrating my 30th birthday (and our 3rd anniversary!) for which we will be driving out to New York and visiting my best friend Jaime, who will be welcoming her daughter in April. Then this summer, Madelynn will turn the BIG 1-0! Which means a heck of a birthday celebration for her! In August or September, we are planning on driving out to Missouri to visit Andrew's uncle and aunt that he hasn't seen in 17 years and that I, nor the kids, have ever met! That will be loads of fun! And we get to spend the entire year getting to know our son and see what its like to have a little boy in the house!! YAY!!
