I called my doctor and requested to have the baby on a Friday, after realizing that if I have him on Tuesday, Andrew will have to take that week off to look after Victoria, and by the time I come home on Friday, he will have to be back to work 4 days later. Having him on Friday means when I come home on Sun or Mon, he will have a whole week off with me. And I will need the help because not only will I have a newborn, but I will have a toddler as well!
So, we will be welcoming Adam on Friday, March 13th, 2009 if all goes well. That way my kids will be born 3-31 and 3-13 and both on a Friday at that!
Also, we get Maddy back on the 13th and this way, Andrew can take her to and from school that week and I won't have to worry about finding someone to pick her up! YAY!

It's been awhile...
since I updated this blog!
I have been so incredibly busy. Victoria is going thru this very needy phase, where she wants me to play with her constantly and gets very upset when I am on the computer or phone or doing anything that doesn't involve her. Speaking of Victoria, my is she getting big. I can't believe she will be 3 in just under 4 months. She is talking constantly, in 10 and 11 word sentences, and is so smart that she blows me away sometimes. She is very very very into Diego now. She lives, eats, breathes, thinks Diego. We watch reruns all day long, and she can pretty much mimic the whole show. She is talking in Spanish as well a bit so that helps! She is also very into animals and loves playing with anything animal like. She is also into her baby dolls still. Very much in fact. For Christmas, we are getting her one of those doll sets, with a swing, highchair, carseat, diaper bag and playpen because I know as soon as Adam is here and his swing is out here, she will be thinking its for her babies. I am very excited to get this set for her as I know she will love it. She really loves playmobil as well so she will be getting some of that for Christmas too. Christmas is going to be very exciting for her this year. She is right at that sweet age. We are going to start a tradition of cutting down a real tree starting this year, so we are excited for Victoria to help with that as well.
On to Maddy. She is doing well. Just going to school everyday, and getting fantastic grades. Reading every chance she gets. She is really into these Cat Warrior books and just reads all evening. She is very much into country music as well and wants new songs put on her ipod all the time. We will be getting her an Itunes gift card for Christmas, along with some art things as she likes to draw. We are thinking of getting her an Ipod Nano for her 10th birthday. Right now she just has the Shuffle but she has been taking good care of that, so if she keeps it up, she will earn a newer, better one!
Now, for the baby. He is doing great. Kicking away constantly. We have our follow up ultrasound this coming Friday as they couldn't see his liver or entire spine last time so I am hoping he cooperates this time. He feels much bigger than 1.5 pounds and 13 inches long. He is so strong and my whole stomach moves when he does. I am excited to see him again this Friday. Next Wed, I have my regular prenatal appt, and this is the one where he will schedule my sugar test and rhogam shot. Yay. Only 14 weeks from today until Adam arrives and I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying. I am actually getting nervous about everything now. Sigh.
Well, that's pretty much an update here. Here are a few shots of Victoria!

We have a date!
My c-section is scheduled for March 10th at 7:30am!!!! I am thrilled they made my appt this early so I have something to look forward to! I was aiming for the 12th but my doctor only does c-sections on Mon and Tues. Andrew will take the 10th thru the 17th off work, so he will be with me and then my sister will come down and stay with me for 3-4 days until the weekend again when Andrew will be off again. By the time he goes back to work after that weekend, it will be 2 weeks since my c-section, so I should be okay alone then. My friend Ashley is coming over and staying the night before my c-section so she can stay here with Victoria, as we have to be at the hospital at 6am! I am NOT looking forward to being away from Victoria for 3 nights while I am in the hospital, or looking forward to being away from her during the day, but I am looking forward to meeting my little man! I can't believe I have less than 4 months till he is here!
I have another ultrasound on December 5th because they couldn't see the liver or the entire spine during the last ultrasound, and they just want to make sure everything is okay. It will be nice seeing him again!

Today is...
the big Ultrasound!!!!! Hopefully baby will cooperate and we can tell the sex. It seems to be split 50/50 by my friends, but I am heavily leaning towards girl. I just got a strong sensation yesterday that it was a girl! I was wrong with Victoria though as I thought she would be a boy all along. My appt is at 1:45 and I will update afterward!!!

Still alive
Hello all! I am still alive! It's been over a month since I last posted. I have just been so busy and burnt out. My MIL came from Ireland Sep 16th-25th and we had a great time! It went by way too quickly, but while she was here, she got to accompany me to a doctor's appt and hear her new grandchild's heartbeat! That was really nice! It was the first time I heard it as well, though I did see it at the ultrasound. The heart rate was only 138 this time, leading the doctor to tell me that this one is a boy. He prides himself on hardly being wrong when it comes to determining the sex of the baby by the heart rate. I know that he could be wrong, but because he told me from week 12 that Victoria was a girl by the heartbeat, I am hopeful he is right! Heehee.
For other news, Victoria fell at the park Thursday, and managed to break her right arm this time. She fell from steps leading up to a slide, and fell about 3 feet...and right on her face. I am lucky she only broke her arm because we thought for sure she brought her neck! She broke the radial and the ulna bones this time, by her wrist, so she has ANOTHER cast on, 3 weeks after the 1st one came off. Poor baby girl. It's too sad to think about.
My sister in law will be here next month, from Australia, from the 6th to the 12th! It's been 3 long years since we last saw her and she will be meeting Victoria for the first time! Very excited about that!!!!
We have another follow up appt this coming Friday, where Andrew will hear the baby's heart beat for the first time. I look forward to these appts! I am finally starting to feel alot of fluttering, and that is the most amazing thing. I can't believe I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant now! Because of my scheduled c-section at 39 weeks, only 1 more week and I will be halfway there!!! Time is flying.
Anyway, have loads to do tonight. Off to get the girls bathed. Have a great night!!!

My Big 4th Grader
Started school yesterday :-( I still cannot believe that this child, whom I have helped raise since she was just 13 months old is in the 4th grade now. They grow up so fast! :-(
And not to forget my little mini me, who wishes she could go to school too! (Don't grow up as fast as your sister did Victoria, please!)
And then my gorgeous girls together! They are so close and it just warms my heart when Victoria begs Maddy to read her a bedtime story at night. And it makes me cry when Victoria bawls her eyes out when we leave sissy at school and she can't go with her even though she has her backpack too.
