Wordless Wednesday

This is our kitty Fifi. She is almost 3 months old. She is so funny when she sleeps. She will be running thru the house and just drop and fall asleep in the weirdest positions or weirdest places. It's really cute. When she is sleeping, she is out cold and nothing can wake her. It's the funniest thing!

Glasses

I am beginning to think I may need glasses. I have actually thought this for quite awhile now, but I can't get rid of these headaches and my eyes are going blurry alot. I have always been afraid that, like my mom and dad, I would someday need glasses, at least for reading. I never liked the way glasses looked. I was always afraid of getting teased while wearing them. But, I can't bear the thought of contacts. Sticking something in my eye? Forget it! I am hoping to find some really cute frames that will look nice on me. I think I can find some cute ones, hopefully with a cute little case as I am thinking I will only need them for reading. So far, I have found the cutest ones to be at this website: Zenni Optical. They have the best deals around. Wish me luck!

WOW!

My daughter will be 2 in March, and I can't believe how her vocabulary just exploded this week. It's amazing all the new words she is adding. She copies every word we say. But then she comes up with these phrases of her own that I am not sure where she gets them from because she doesn't go to daycare or anyone else's house, but yet she comes up with these words that make me laugh as well as sit there in a state of wonder. Some of her favorite expressions are:

"Holy cow"
"Oh, man"
"What we gonna do"
"No way man"
"That's just nascee"
"Oh sick"
"Crap!"
"Oh how yuck"

That's just to name a few I can think of. The one she says the most is "Oh man". It cracks me up! If her hands get dirty she says it over and over until you wash them off for her. She is adding words daily, some I am proud of, um, some not so proud (enter blush smilie here). Either way, she is a ton of fun to hang out with. She knows her entire alphabet and has since 18 months. She sings it, complete with the song at the end. She can count to 10. She recognizes every single letter as long as it is in capitals. She recognizes most of the numbers by sight. She has started counting things. If I ask how many cookies do you have, she counts them and tells me. I can't believe how smart she is. I know alot of 2 year olds, even 3 year olds, who don't know their entire alphabet. It helps that I am a stay at home mom and work with her constantly. She knows most of her colors and can play match up games. She is very loving, asking for kisses and hugs and saying I love you out of the blue now, which is so nice and it makes me tear up everytime. She also says "sorry" everytime she does something wrong, or she says "That's naughty, be nice Toria" which really makes me crack up. She is just the sweetest little thing and I don't know how I ever survived without her. Just a little brag on my sweetheart this morning, complete with pictures!!

I am SO ready for Spring

Normally I LOVE winter, but having a toddler changed that this year. It's so cold outside that she can't even play in the snow. It's 15 below zero with the windchill, the weather is awful, and I have Jury Duty this week, which means more driving. I want Spring to arrive, for my daughter to be 2 and play outside. Go to the parks, have picnics, driving and actually breathing at the same time. I am really looking forward to this spring/summer, having a child old enough to actually enjoy it and "ask" to go outside to play. It's going to be a very exciting summer this year. I can't wait!

Looking into buying a house

We have been thinking about buying a house for the last couple weeks. We are tired of apartment living and with me looking into a part time evening job, we may finally be able to afford a mortgage I know that it is a buyers market right now, so it would be a really good time to get into a house. It would be nice to have a yard for my daughter to run around in and a place to call our own!! Maybe we will start looking around!
