We got a kitty

We finally broke down and joined the rest of our friends in having a feline join our family. We have friends whose cat has had 4 litter of kittens, and we fell in love with one of them this time around, so we decided to have her join our family. We have yet to name her, though alot of names have come up. Here is a list of names we have considered:

Schatzi (meaning sweetheart or treasure in German)
Blitz (thought up by me, quickly shot down by Andrew, who says its a male name and our cat is female)
Penny (thought up by Andrew and shot down by me cause I don't like the sound of it, plus she is gray, not copper)
Vapor (thought up by my friend Dawn and we are considering it)
Indigo (thought up again by Dawn and we are considering it)
Misty, Shadow, Snowy, Ivy, Isis, Iris, and Icee, all thought up by Maddy and shot down by Andrew and I.
Miss Fifi Sparklepaws (thought up by my friend Grace, and we are actually calling her Fifi...its easy for Victoria to say)

Speaking of Miss Victoria, who absolutely adores the kitten, when asked what she wanted to name the kitty, she says "Naughty" and I am not sure if she is saying that because she knows something we don't (I am hoping this isn't the case) or perhaps because she has been told she is naughty several times for trying to step on or strangle the kitten since we got her 4 days ago. She mostly called her kitty. Which is to the point, but cute nonetheless!

If anyone has any name suggestions, please throw them my way and I will be sure to update when we settle on a name.

Weight Watchers

I started WW up again on November 2nd and am proud to say that in less than a month, I have lost 9.5 pounds!! I have an awesome goal to be 130 by next July. I know I can do it. It's been alot easier than I thought. Before when I did it, it was easy because I worked outside the home and got alot of exercise and was around alot of people cheering me on. This time I thought it would be hard, being a stay at home mom and not getting out much, but I was wrong. When I am determined to do something, it happens everytime. I am sick of this weight. I lost 38 pounds back in 2005 and then got pregnant in the middle of my weight loss, so I didn't hit my goal (but I was 22 pounds from it!!) but this time, I am determined to hit it!!

Nice way to spend a Saturday evening

We went invited to a friends for a Halloween/Housewarming party last night and we had a really good time. A few people dressed up, though not us, and there was lots of goodies and food and fun and games. There was even other kids for Victoria to play with, including a little girl just a month older than her that she was fascinated with. Victoria is going thru a really bad seperation anxiety and completely lost it whenever she couldn't see me, but as the night went on and she got tired, she just laid on me and was super quiet while we all played games. We played Truth or Dare Jenga, and my husband had to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to someone like it was the most romantic song in the world and he picked me, but I passed him off to the hostess. It was hilarious! He also had to pick one other person to roll down a hill in a race. That was very funny! He was drinking and I thought for sure he would get sick from the rolling, but he didn't. He had a really good time, though he had to be "helped" into the house. Even Victoria was hysterical with giggles watching daddy race down that hill. We didn't get home till nearly 11 so Victoria was late going to bed (first time since she was born, mind you) and was up alot in the middle of the night, crying. She has 4 teeth coming in and is super cranky lately and really testing me and I am hoping its a phase that will pass quickly.

Halloween

Well, seeing that we are now in a new month, I am going to promise to start blogging more. October was a crazy month for my family and I didn't have alot of time to be at the computer. So, for those of you who read my blog, I am sorry :(

Now, we did go trick or treating last night, but it was raining like mad outside and I didn't dare bring my camera out in the rain. I did manage to snag a few shots of the girls in their kitty costumes when we went out to a local park walk thru on Saturday night. I will blog a bit more once my child has gone down for a nap as she is whiny and attached to my leg at the moment. Ahhhh...motherhood. :)
